A reckoning. A return.

Sanctuary Dispatch | Friday Reflections from the Wild Path

Lately, I’ve been talking with Spirit. Asking the big questions.

ree

Will it be okay?

Will we be okay?

The honest answer is—I don’t know when.

I don’t know how.

But I do believe we will be.

Still, that belief doesn’t cancel out the ache.

Because movements don’t happen overnight.

Revolutions take time.

And it’s possible—painfully possible—that the state of things could stretch on longer than I want to imagine.

Maybe even longer than I’m here to witness.

But what I’ve come to understand is this:

We’re not just living in chaotic times.

We’re living in a time of reckoning.

We are being asked to face the consequences of our collective choices—the way we’ve treated the Earth, the way we’ve treated each other, the systems we’ve upheld by participating in them (even quietly, even unconsciously).

And none of us is truly innocent.

If you’ve ever chosen convenience over sustainability…

If you’ve ever consumed without questioning where, how, or who it came from…

If you’ve ever turned away from injustice because it felt like too much to bear…

You are not alone.

This isn’t a finger-pointing, blame-casting kind of message.

This is an invitation.

To wake up.

To be honest.

To change.

Because the truth is: we are all responsible.

Unless you are one of the rare few living completely off-grid with zero carbon footprint, you are a thread in this web.

So am I.

ree

But what if that means we are also threads in the healing?

What if this moment of reckoning is also a moment of return?

A return to conscious choice.

A return to sacred responsibility.

A return to the wild wisdom that knows we are not separate from this Earth, or each other.

We don’t need to wait for the system to collapse to start living differently.

We don’t need to wait for permission to act from integrity.

We can be part of the shift.

So today, I invite you to begin again.

Not with shame, but with devotion.

Ask yourself:

What do my daily choices say about what I value?

Who and what do they impact?

And how can I make a change—small or large—toward something more humane, more conscious, more aligned?

Because if there is to be a future worth living in,

it will be built by those willing to live that future now.

Even if no one is watching.

Even if it’s hard.

Even if the world hasn’t caught up yet.

We don’t wait for the light.

We become it.

🌿 A Note from Michele:

If this piece stirred something in you—if you’ve been feeling the weight of the world and the pull to live differently—The Soft Rebellion is now accepting applications.

It’s a quiet, intentional collective of women who are ready to live in alignment with what they believe. Women who feel the weight of what’s happening in the world and are looking for a way to process it, respond to it, and do something that matters—together.

We’re beginning with a local chapter in the Metro Northwest Massachusetts area, and if you feel called to be part of it, you can learn more and apply here:

This is just the beginning. And I’m so grateful you’re here. 🤍

Friday Reflections from the Wild Path | A soft rebellion for the soul

This is where spirit meets resistance.

Each Friday, I share a dispatch from the edge of the old world—where systems are crumbling and something truer is rising.

These pieces weave together politics, power, and personal truth from a deeply human, heart-centered lens.

They are an offering of clarity in chaos. A reclamation of voice. A reminder that awakening is both inner and outer work.
