Why do we compare ourselves to others?

Two years ago today, I gave up alcohol.

My giant leap of faith one year ago.

Surrendering to get what you need.

My recent downfall and rise. Climbing my way out of the hole of fear, overwhelm, and self-doubt.

Oh, if only we could all stop shying away from the bad feelings.

What I want my children to know.

It’s nice to be seen by others, but why do we need to wait for others?

I got on this ride so long ago. And never questioned getting off. I just kept riding. And waiting.
